Weekly Menu - A funny thing happened on the way to healing - Edition

Ahem. About the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. I am no longer following it... kind of. You can read all about it here, if you are so inclined.

Everything served with a side of vegetable, side of fruit and a salad.

4/06- Sunday
Jamaican Jerk Chicken, brown rice (for everyone else), black beans (w/ tomatoes, onions, cilantro and other good stuff) - Another winner from last week. I will be using breast tenders this time, so I think it will be even better.

4/07 - Monday
Pork Souvlaki with Tzatziki - From Stella Style

4/08 - Tuesday
BBQ Pulled pork sandwiches (bun for them, nothing for me)- Archery night, so this will go into the crockpot

4/09 - Wednesday
An Indonesian feast! - One of the elderly couples that live here spent many, many years teaching in Indonesia and as a result brought back quite an array of recipes. About 15 of us are going to get together on Wednesday and Marty, Emily and I are going to cook us all dinner using Myrtle's recipes. (There is no way I am letting a 93 year old woman cook for that many people!) I have no idea what we are having, but I know it will be good! Pics and info ASAP.

4/10 - Thursday
Chicken Satay with Spicy Peanut Dipping Sauce, brown rice (for them)

4/11 - Friday
Grilled Marinated Flank Steak - A repeat from last week. It was so good that I just had to make it again. Of course, when I tried to buy wine this morning at the cashier looked at me like I was an idiot and said "You can't buy wine until noon on Sunday." I almost abandoned the plan. Doh!

4/12 - Saturday
Grilled smoked sausage

I can't wait for the feast! We are having Nassi Goreng (Fried rice cooked in coconut milk. Yum!), Sates (kebaba) with peanut dipping sauce, Curry fried cabbage, and fresh fruit for dessert.

The couple is going to bring a bunch of the things they got in Indonesia to show the kids.
